The Effingham County Sunday School Association donated $ 1,000 to the Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross for disaster relief. From left to right, Brad Trower, Association President for 2011-2012, presents a check to Esther Sheppard, Director of Public Support for the Southeast Georgia Chapters of the American Red Cross, and Bernnie Martin, Chief Effingham County Disaster Action Team Team for the Red Cross. Trower, Sylvania, Millen and Reidsville Hospitals Administrator for Optim Healthcare, is a member of Guyton Christian Church. About 400 people from 13 churches attended the association’s 133rd convention on May 6 at the Methodist Campground in Springfield.
