Outer Banks Hospital, Pirate’s Cove Realty and Homeowners Association have made a big difference for foster kids in recent vacation
DARE CO, NC (WAVY) – Over the past holiday season, the Outer Banks Hospital, Pirate’s Cove Realty and the Santa’s Lil ‘Pirates of the Homeowners’ Association program have been instrumental in helping foster children in County Dare.
Dare County officials said Pirates Cove has been involved for eighteen years in creating special vacations for foster children in the area.
Pirates Cove donated $ 3,000 to the Foster Children’s Fund, which is used for Christmas presents, birthday presents and other special items throughout the year for children in foster care. homepage.
Additionally, during the past holiday season, 11 children in the care of the Dare County Health and Human Services Department received gifts from Pirates Cove.
The Outer Banks Hospital donated third year gifts to young adults who are in the Foster Care program.
The hospital also purchased gifts for four young adults in the care of the Dare County Department of Health and Human Services.
“We are very grateful for everything the Santa’s Lil ‘Pirates program and the Outer Banks Hospital are doing for these children and young adults,” said Brittany Canter, Foster Home Licensing social worker in the Department of Health and Human Services at the County Dare.
