Karnack Church and Association Team Up to Organize Food Drive for Hurricane Victims | New
The State Line Education and Missionary Association has partnered with the New Vision Baptist Church in Karnack to collect three trucks full of food to deliver to hurricane victims in southern Louisiana.
Association moderator and church pastor Bishop R. Lenard Moore Sr. said the entities wanted East Texas to help be a blessing when needed. The association invited churches in the region to participate in the food drive.
“We are trying to be a blessing to the people who have lost everything,” Moore said.
Moore thanked the 12 churches that participated in the benefit to help hurricane victims in southern Louisiana.
“We have three and a half trucks of food that were donated from East Texas,” the pastor reiterated.
“Thank you East Texas for the State Line Education and Missionary Association,” he said.
Moore serves as Moderator, Dr Louis Taylor is Deputy Moderator, Dr Arron Lewis is Secretary, Reverend Bobby Parks is Mission President, Reverend Reginald Parker is Dean of Christian Education, and Dr K. Bryant Davis is president of Congress.
Reverend Eddie Murray is Chair of the Men’s Department, Dr Cherly Jackson is Chair of the Women’s Department, Daisy Wade is Chair of the Department of Bailiffs.
